Turns very smoothly with no grinding or play. Plenty of surface scratches from use: paint worn through on the bail arm near the line roller, chips on the tip of the reel foot, scuffs along the bottom of the rotor and a few scratches on the spool lip. None of it affects how the reel fishes. All marks are visible in the photos.
